Hello!
I grew up in earshot of Lake Michigan, inspired by the natural beauty of Michigan as well as its cities. I have been working in the medium of paint since 2005. As a self-taught artist, I have had the opportunity to work in the realms of theatrical set design, performance painting, sign-making, clothing design, and murals. I seek to create pieces of art that have a sense of substance, believing that visual art influences its environment, releasing essence into the space it inhabits. My process for developing a painting varies from piece-to-piece, but generally begins with a deep emotive concept. At this point, there is a process of finding the words and imagery that best embody this concept, followed by the long journey of connecting all the dots in-between.
